CBH Cascade Roof Refurbishment
QDC completed a roof refurbishment project for CBH at their Grain Storage Facility in Cascade, 100km northwest of Esperance WA. In this project, we demolished the existing 19-year-old roof and wall cladding in preparation for the installation of a brand-new 12,000m² roofing system, wall sheets, and all necessary finishes to complete the structure.
QDC designed and installed our unique QDC FRC50 roof system, that has been specifically developed to ensure maximum durability and to reduce maintenance costs substantially. The roof was installed using the QDC bespoke roll form machine and lifting beam mechanism.
The primary objective for this project was to ensure that the facility was gas-tight for fumigation purposes. Upon completion, the grain storage facility successfully passed CBH pressurisation testing and was airtight and ready for fumigation.
