Roofing System & Refurbishment
Design & Construction of 26,000m2 of a unique and customised roofing system, consisting of sealed-in, gas-tight roof sheeting, roll formed on site. QDC was also responsible for the design and construction of new precast concrete retaining walls to support grain storage and increase capacity of the facility, replacing the 1960’s timber framed walls. Additionally, a full mechanical and electrical re-publishment of HOR 02 & HOR 03 horizontal grain storage facilities – this has been the third and fourth (and now final) refurbishment of the Geraldton HOR grain facilities. QDC has successfully competitively tendered, been awarded and completed all 4 grain storage bin refurbishments to a sealed in construction quality. The project was completed on budget, on time and without injury.
