This concept-to-completion project to design, develop and construct Qube’s new 60,000-tonne storage and handling facility has to meet exacting requirements. As a critical midway point – from mine to port – for some 400,000 tonnes of mineral sands every year, the facility has to turnaround 650tph to ensure timely delivery to export ships at the Port of Bunbury. We therefore had to design a simple yet reliable and robust in-and-out loading system that fast-tracks and automates inbound and outbound cargo handling, thereby maximising truck loads and optimising efficiency.
